I rarely (actually never) hear people say that someone who committed suicide had great friends who constantly checked up on the friend or family
I always hear "Person A had everything going for them, job, money, girlfriend, (or whatever good then want to say is happening in the person's life). I do not understand why they did this."
It's because in the totality of happiness those things are weighted much lower than having consistent friends that that person wants in their life.
If you are that awesome friend , then you have a duty to call and constantly stay in touch with people consistently.
If you're extroverted then this is an easier task to do than the introvert. I am in introvert so when I call and catch up with people after being around hundreds of people everyday at work, I have to go home and recharge everyday because most people drain me.
The main point is people need consistent, positive friends in their life.
If you are always that friend then it is time to get to work.

People need positive mentors who believe in them.
This is coming from listening to Chris Rock on Howard Stern and reflecting on the 30 for 30 ESPN the Boz.
Their confidence was raised by mentors who believed in them.
This is why celebrities or popular people have an obligation to be in the open and in front of kids, who are very impresionable.

I'm not sure if I've discussed this on here but I use a 3 person rule when it comes to taking advice
If three people tell me I should puruse something, meet with someone, etc., and it does not go against my moral feelings, then I will do it
It's a great feeling because it progresses myself and the person who is trying to help me
If the action is successful, then I have grown and the giver of the advice feels more confident in giving good advice
If the action is unsuccessful and I followed the steps that the people told me to take, then I have very low liability because I was not the originator of the advice. I have still grown because it was a new experience
If three people have told you to do something and it does not go against you morally, complete the action

These three qualities are what I feel are necessary for success.
I am pretty sure once I get better at planning and see the tremendous positive effects it will be added to the list.
But, for right now, from what I have done, work hard, take opportunities, and be obedient to wise advice (3 person rule)

This is inspired by an Elon Musk interview from Sal Khan
It is great to hear from Elon Musk, someone who is making value based decisions to try to improve the world.
He stated that the goal of Tesla is to be a catalyst in the electric car market.
He believes that electric cars are innevitable but he wants to accelerate the time that they will have a majority of the market share by 10 years.
We as consumers are the drivers of the market
Voting is nice and it creates change, but, companies and the market will respond a lot quicker if we put our money where our beliefs are.
Tesla is making cars that are getting to be pretty affordabe for the average consumer.
If we buy tesla and other electric cars from manufacturers then these companies will put more research, advertising, etc. into the electric cars to fulfill the demand from the market.
Simply, purchasing power is a huge power that consumers exercise every day.

This post is influenced by John Lilly, the dolphin guy and a recent movie I saw on Netflix about teen magicians. In the movie there is a perfectionist girl who never messes up at anything who at the world teen magic competition messed up on the simplest move at the end of her skit. She cries and doesnt understand and can't make a reason for why she messed up. I am here to say that it was coincidence. There are outside forces that came into play that stopped her from winning that competition. No matter what she did, it was not her time to win the competition.
The two main things we have control over in our life is obedience to instructions, and our attitude during situations.
Other than those two things. Life is simple.

When you are motivated you need to do something.
Commit an action.
That's the point of motivation, to get you to do something.
If something is not done then that energy gets converted to emotional memory.
Emotional memory is a memory with an emotion attached to it.
Feelings are generated when the person thinks of the memory as if the body still needs to release the energy from the initial interaction.
If someone hears a song they like but do not commit an action afterward the energy from the song gets converted to emotional memory.
If a guy sees a girl at a bar and is motivated to talk to her but does not commit an action then the energy gets converted to emotional memory.
The guy does not have to talk to her to use the energy but he does need to do something to get rid of the energy.

Im kind of annoyed right now because i just saw a youtube video where a convention guy was motivating the people in the audience by sharing stories of people having "aha" moments and changing their lives from that day on.
Motivation does not last me a month
Motivation does not last me a few weeks.
If I'm lucky, I will see something or do something that will motivate me for a few hours.
I great understanding of my want and give structure keeps me on track for the goals that I want to do.
Also, using the motivation for action helps me to stay motivated.
Motivation is like a bar where depending upon the circumstance the bar could be a tiny bar or a huge bar.
Right when the bar is created it starts diminishing.
When you use that motivation for action the bar pauses.
Once you stop using it for action it continues to diminish.
If you have an "aha" moment or you are motivated by something else again that bar increases.
If someone gets motivated and does nothing then within a few minutes/hours, etc. the bar will deplete and the person will be in his average state again.

I have a plan that I will be putting to work for the rest of my life.
I will get rich and fund massive livestock to mimic grazing patterns in desserts to increase the amount of grasslands in Africa.
I will then teach the Africans how to use livestock grazing and how to use agriculture, crop rotation, etc.
The desserts of Africa will becoming a booming civilization with simplicity and great health.
I'll need to continue to gain understanding of how agriculture and grazing work and also increase my wealth a lot but it will happen. This is my greatest goal in life
